Folie a Deux Release Date Pushed BackSet to be released on Election Day 2008, members of Fall Out Boy felt it necessary to push the release date back. According to livedaily.com, drummer Andy Hurley had this to say about the decision- "I'm definitely happy we made the choice we did, it was such a monumentally important election. I just think I wouldn't have cared about our album if it came out that day. That's how exciting the election was. I would have been like, 'Man. Why is our record out? This sucks.'"
A noble decision if I don't say so myself, and with their upcoming appearance at Bamboozle, fans will appreciate the wait. Folie a Deux, meaning a madness shared by two, will feature guest performances by Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heros, Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship, William Beckett of The Academy Is, Brendan Urie of Panic at the Disco, Debbie Harry of Blondie, Elvis Costello and Pharrell. With an all star cast like that, Folie a Deux is clearly worth the wait. Who knows? Maybe guests will appear onstage with Fall Out Boy at Bamboozle, I've got my Fall Out Boy tickets to Bamboozle...do you? |
